These lino prints aim to depict common modes of transportation in Indonesia before the rise of online transportation such as Gojek and Uber. The drivers’ faces project fear and confusion as they are uncertain of their future. I used coffee, tea, newspaper, and cigarettes as media as they are significant parts of their daily lives. Although most of us find technological innovations like online transportations to be very convenient, we must ensure that those who are less fortunate and educated will not get left behind.
Materials used: Lino print, coffee, tea, watercolor, newspaper, modroc, acrylic paint, cardboard, cigarette ashes.
